Keeping Relaxation Simple!
|
Relaxation encourages wellbeing, keep us healthy. And more importantly cushions us from daily challenges and life stressors. So what can you do to Relax? Well begin keeping it simple. 1/ Don’t go to bed with a stimulated brain e.g. work from the office or just switched off the latest drama. 2/ Chill out before bedtime; try a bedtime ritual: dim the lights, reduce the sound, even better turn the t.v. off. 3/ Take regular breaks, don’t work through those breaks at work, even 5 minute walks or time out for a cuppa, helps encourage the body to switch off rather than constantly on the go. 4/ Drink plenty of water, dehydration makes the body work harder, don’t put any more pressure on the body than you need to. 5/ Take up a new hobby or time out to relax each day. If you’re a busy mum; a soothing bath, or curl up on the sofa with your favourite magazine. Even better join a Relaxation Class; you will learn various techniques how to relax deeply and effectively. These tools and techniques are extremely useful for Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Panic Attacks and of course Stress. When we are in deep states of anxiety or stress, we can’t seem to switch off we feel overwhelmed, tense and unable to cope. These techniques with practise teach the mind and body to return to natural relaxation and harmony. Your body will come off the “ fight” or “flight” rollercoaster.
