i found this article very informative. Just a few nights ago, while lying in bed, i decided to try a simple meditation exercise that i pulled off the internet, only because i was alittle stressed out and thought it would help me relax, i hadn't even heard of astral projection. First i did a focus exercise where i placed all my focus and concentration on a particular object in my room, i cleared my mind, and spent about 10 minutes doing nothing but "experiencing" the object as opposed to thinking of it, then afterwards, feeling very relaxed, i lay in bed with my eyes closed and decided to do a breathing exercise. I inhaled then slowly exhaled allowing my body to fully relax. After about a minute of doing that i started to get a very unusual sensation throughout my body, one that i've never felt before, almost as if i was floating. It frightened me at first, but i continued with my breathing, and the sensation kept going, eventually i just got so frightened that i jerked my eyes open and got out of bed, feeling shaken and scared. It was my first time doing any sort of meditation, and i have to admit, i'm alittle scared to try it again:S |
